For Texas to have a chance against No. 1 Alabama this Saturday afternoon, Longhorns fans must create a raucous environment. Steve Sarkisian is counting on it.
Sarkisian has a message for Texas football fans ahead of Saturday's marquee showdown. In short, he needs Longhorns fans to be loud and crazy to hopefully give UT an edge against the top team in the country.
"I know this, they’re going to have an impact on the game," Sarkisian said. "And we need our fans to be loud. We need our fans to be energetic. We need our fans to be raucous."
Alabama is no stranger to crazy environments. That's a weekly occurrence in the SEC. It's highly unlikely the Crimson Tide are fazed by crowd noise.
With that being said, Texas fans could provide an extra boost for both the Longhorns offense and defense. But at the end of the day, it'll come down to which team has the better talent and is able to execute at a high level.
Texas hosts Alabama in Austin this Saturday at noon ET on FOX.
