Thanksgiving Football Game Schedules for NFL and College
Thanksgiving and football are about as synonymous with the holiday as turkey and dressing. And once again, fans can get their fill of food and football on Thursday with an NFL doubleheader and a Mountain West Conference matchup.
Below is a list of the games you can watch on Thanksgiving Day for those who want to add a little pigskin to their feasting.

Thanksgiving Day Football Schedule
Houston at Detroit, 12:30 p.m. on CBS
Neither team is in the playoff hunt but the Texans (3-7) and Lions (4-6) have some shared Thanksgiving history. Houston's first-ever game on the holiday came against Detroit in the 2012 season. The Texans won that game 34-31 in overtime so the Lions have a chance to get even against them and snap their overall three-game losing streak on Thanksgiving.
Washington at Dallas, 4:30 p.m. on FOX
These longtime divisional rivals have faced each other plenty of times on Thanksgiving with the Cowboys holding a commanding lead (8-1) on the holiday. Dallas would love for that success to continue this year as whichever team wins this game will take over first place in the NFC East, despite their 3-7 records. Now watch them tie…
New Mexico at Utah State, 7 p.m. on FS1
These Mountain West teams have a couple of things in common. Both enter this game 0-4. Both are led by "new" coaches – Danny Gonzales is in his first year at New Mexico while Frank Maile is serving as interim head coach for Utah State after Gary Andersen was fired following an 0-3 start. The head-to-head series also is tied 13-13 with the Aggies winning the last three meetings against the Lobos.
