Ticketmaster Appears to Leak College Football Bowl Game Matchup

Eligible college football teams will learn their bowl-game matchups after the conclusion of conference championships this weekend.

But, two teams may already know their postseason destiny.

Ticketmaster appeared to leak the matchup for this year's New Orleans Bowl contest. The ticketing website prematurely posted a matchup between Jacksonville State and Louisiana Lafayette.

The post has since been taken down.

After the leak, college football insider Brett McMurphy reported the news that Jacksonville State and Louisiana Lafayette will in fact face off in this year's New Orleans Bowl.

Jacksonville State finished the year with an 8-4 record. This will be the program's first bowl game appearance after moving from FCS to FBS this year.

Louisiana Lafayette finished their regular season with a 6-6 record, barely sneaking into bowl-game eligibility with a win over UL Monroe this past weekend.

The New Orleans Bowl will take place on Saturday, December 16.
