Top College Football Wide Receiver Reportedly Enters Transfer Portal

One of the nation's top collegiate wide receivers is entering the transfer portal this Tuesday afternoon.

Just days after Biff Poggi was named the next head coach of the Charlotte 49ers, standout wide receiver Grant DuBose is reportedly looking to transfer away from the program.

"Charlotte standout wide receiver Grant Dubose has entered the transfer portal, @on3sports has learned. Dubose, an Alabama native who has been on the radar for NFL scouts, has posted 126 catches, 1,684 yards and 15 TDs the last two seasons," Matt Zenitz of On3Sports tweeted Tuesday.

DuBose, a junior at Charlotte, has put up solid numbers in just under two collegiate seasons with the 49ers.

During his sophomore campaign in 2021, the 6'2" wideout tallied 62 receptions for 892 yards and grabbed six touchdowns.

This season has been eerily-similar for DuBose. Through 12 games, he's accumulated 63 receptions for 787 yards and 9 touchdowns.

Now entered into the transfer portal, the Alabama native is seemingly looking to improve his draft stock on a team that will feature him more often than he was at Charlotte.

Charlotte's regular season ended last Saturday with a 26-21 win over Louisiana Tech. In what was likely Dubose's final game as a 49er, he recorded a season-low one reception for 30 yards.
