On the heels of a crushing defeat to the Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State's coaching staff could soon be taking another loss.
Brian Hartline, Ohio State's wide receivers coach and one of the most-respected assistants in college football, is reportedly interviewing to be a head coach.
According to a report, Hartline is interviewing to be the head coach at Cincinnati. The Bearcats just recently lost Luke Fickell to Wisconsin.
It's only a matter of time before Hartline is a head coach. Will Cincinnati give him the opportunity?
"OSU WR coach Brian Hartline interviewing to be Head Coach at Cincinnati…," said BuckeyeScoop.
Ohio State has and always will be a recruiting force, but losing Brian Hartline can't be overstated. He's an excellent coach both on and off the field and excels in recruiting.
Ryan Day can't let this one slip away.
"Brian Hartline to Cincinnati would be a HUGE loss for The Ohio State program. Hartline has been BIG TIME since he stepped foot in Columbus. On the field. Off the field. BH is as elite as they come. However, the Buckeyes would still be WRU," said Sam Block.
Coaching at Cincinnati would be an excellent career step for Brian Hartline, who has clear aspirations to be a head coach.
Keep an eye out here.
