Video of Quinn Ewers Before Texas-Texas A&M Game Has Fans Concerned

On Saturday morning ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel suggested Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers might not be playing at 100% in tonight's game against the Texas A&M Aggies.

"He is not going to be 100% tonight," Thamel said. That leaves open the possibility we could see some Arch Manning if Ewers struggles with his mobility. Remember, A&M has struggled with running quarterbacks."

"College GameDay" analyst Kirk Herbsteit added that the team could go to Arch Manning in relief, but he believes Ewers will be the starting quarterback if he's healthy.

"Now, if the ankle doesn't really hold up, if he's limping, then that's a different story," he said. "Then obviously you got to go to Arch Manning and with his ability to run."

"But this is an offense, you talk to [Steve Sarkisian], they're coming into this game completely thinking that Quinn Ewers is going to be their quarterback. Their attack and their plan on how they want to move the ball is with Quinn Ewers. I think the only time you would see Arch Manning come in is if that ankle's not holding up."

Well, fans got a close-up look at Ewers before tonight's game against the Aggies and it looks like he's favoring one leg.

Fans took to social media to show their concern.

"He looks a little stiff, slight limp. He will get a shot and then give it a go. Won't be surprised if we see Arch," one fan said.

"Seems to be favoring his right ankle," added another.

"He is not heathy 100% but who is at this point. But he is not walking right," offered a third.

So far this season, Ewers has completed 189-of-278 passing for 2,089 yards with 23 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Manning, meanwhile, is 61-of-90 passing for 939 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions. He provides more of a rushing threat for the Longhorns with 81 yards on 17 attempts with three running touchdowns on the year.
