Alabama Among The Schools Paid The Most To Appear In EA Sports College Football 25
The talk of the college football offseason has been about the upcoming release of EA Sports College Football 25.
The game went about a decade since it was last released, and since then, the sport has changed in a big way. We have seen the death of a power conference, players finally allowed to be paid, and the transfer portal has completely changed the way programs build their teams. However, one thing that has remained a constant was Alabama being among the best programs in the country.
Something that they were rewarded for by EA Sports.
In order to determine which programs got paid what, EA used data based on AP Top 25 poll finishes from the past decade. Based on these results, the teams were divided into four different tiers with Tier 1 being the highest, and Tier 4 being the lowest.
Tier 1 programs are set to get a minimum of $99,875.16, while Tier 2 gets $59,925.09, Tier 3 gets $39,950.06 and Tier 4 schools get $9,987.52.
The Tide won three titles during this stretch, making the College Football Playoff on three other occasions. They finished ranked in the top 5 all but one season, as 2019 saw them finish as the No. 13 team in the country. This success notched them a spot in Tier 1.
Other schools joining them in the top tier include Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma, LSU, Michigan, and Oregon among others.
