Alabama named the biggest 'threat' to flip five-star DB Na'eem Offord from Ohio State

The Alabama Crimson Tide missed out on one of the best players in the state from the 2025 class, but may have a chance to make up for it.

According to a report by On3's Steve Witlfong, the Tide are a "threat" to flip five-star corner Na'eem Offord. The Birmingham, Alabama native announced his pledge to the Buckeyes back in February, but may be eyeing a move that can allow him to stay closer to him. It was already reported by Wiltfog and On3's Josh Newberg that Offord had taken four trips to Tuscaloosa in the past week or so, and now the Tide are inching toward a flip.

When asked who was the bigger threat to Ohio State, Wiltfong revealed just how impactful those visits were.

"Well I would have said Oregon before last weekend's visit to Alabama," said Wiltfong. "I still think that there's a major trust with Ohio State coach Walton, what they've done with DBs they have no questions with Ohio State."

However, Wiltfong did say that Offord and the new Alabama have formed quite a bond.

"Alabama, that relationship with the new staff is really starting to pick up."

Clearly there is work to be done, but the fact that the Tide are getting visits and continuing to build that relationship shows they have a chance. Per On3's rankings, Offord comes in as the No. 8 recruit, No. 3 corner, and as the top player in the state.
