Alabama named the favorites to land four-star Mater Dei DB Chuck McDonald
The rebuild of the Alabama secondary is a full go, and on Thursday the Crimson Tide received some major news in the recruiting department.
Four 247Sports recruiting insiders inserted predictions in favor of Alabama to land four-star corner Chuck McDonald out of Mater Dei (CA). McDonald is one of the most coveted recruits in the entire country, with nearly 30 offers and all of the major programs like Georgia, Oregon, USC, and Ohio State have shown interest in him.

The predictions come just a handful of days after he took his official visit to Tuscaloosa, which clearly shows that his trip to see the new-look era of Alabama football went well.
The Tide are currently riding high on the recruiting trail after flipping four-star quarterback Keelon Russell from SMU, and adding McDonald to their No. 8 class will only make it that much sweeter.
According to 247Sports, McDonald ranks as the No. 115 player in the country, No. 13 corner, and No. 9 player in the state of California.
This past season he was credited with 34 total tackles, seven pass deflections, and a pick while helping lead Mater Dei to a state title.
