Alabama To Host Five-Star Bishop Gorman WR Derek Meadows For Official Visit
Alabama has never had issues attracting top talent to Tuscaloosa, but Kalen DeBoer may have not always had the same allure as he does now that he is the coach for the Tide.
He has found success at every stop he's been at, whether it be at Sioux Falls where he won three NAIA titles, or at Washington the past couple of years where he went 25-3 with a Pac-12 title and a title appearance. However, he also has always done more with less per se, as the Huskies didn't necessarily have five-stars flocking to Seattle. Now that he has the resume and the brand behind him in Tuscaloosa, the narrative that he can't recruit is being put to bed.
The Tide are in the mix for a handful of five-stars, and according to a report by 247Sports, are expected to host the best player in the state of Nevada for an official.
According to 247Sports' Tom Loy, the Tide is one of the five programs that will be receiving a visit from five-star receiver Derek Meadows. The 6-foot-5 Bishop Gorman product will be flying all over the country as he has a trip to Michigan set for May 31, Georgia on June 7, Notre Dame on June 14, LSU on June 18, and will close it out with Alabama on June 21.
Meadows ranks as the No. 32 recruit in the country, No. 6 receiver, and No. 1 player in the state.
As it stands right now, Notre Dame appears to be the favorite. This past season he racked up 15 catches for 391 yards and eight scores.
