Nick Saban Turned Alabama Football Into 'NFL U' During Historic Tenure

While many people will remember Nick Saban's legacy of winning seven titles, and rightfully so, he has accomplished so much more.

The head coach hung up the whistle after the Tide's Rose Bowl loss to Michigan a few months ago. However, his impact on the game at both the college level continues to stand out as a fantastic accomplishment. Every young football player has a goal of making it to the NFL, and playing for Saban is the best in college football.

There are often debates as to which school produces the most or best players at each position whether it be quarterbacks or defensive backs, but those schools can claim a positional victory. For Alabama, producing NFL talent is a bit different. As revealed in a recent post by PFF, the Tide has the most current players on NFL rosters and by a wide margin over the next few teams.

The Tide currently has 75 players on NFL rosters with SEC foes Georgia and LSU coming in at No. 2 at 62.  Under Saban's reign which started back in 2007, the Tide have had 133 players drafted. It doesn't stop there either, as 47 were first-round picks and he has had six classes of 10 or more players drafted.
