Madison, WIThe Wisconsin Badgers and Arizona Wildcats are preparing for a marquee non-conference matchup in college basketball. According to Kenpom, Arizona is a three point favorite. Bart Torvik projects an even closer matchup, with the Wildcats eking out a 76-74 victory.

"We've got a tremendous test coming at us on Friday," Wisconsin basketball head coach Greg Gard stated matter-of-factly during his weekly media conference. "An extremely big team, an experienced team."

The Arizona Wildcats, led by head coach Tommy Lloyd, are up to #9 in the AP Top 25. With a pair of seven-foot centers, an experienced guard in Caleb Love, and an X-factor in scoring from Oakland transfer Trey Townsend, the Wildcats can score from anywhere.

Gard noted that "Arizona is a good example" of the increased offensive output in college basketball. "Tommy's always been on the cutting edge of that. He was when he was at Gonzaga with Mark [Few]. They're one of the first ones to utilize some of the European ball-screen motion stuff that we put into place."

With the combination of exciting offenses, a "stripe out" at the Kohl Center, and the Badgers honoring former Wisconsin basketball head coach and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Bo Ryan, Gardhad plenty to discuss this week.
