Jaren Kanak was a key contributor on a Sooners defense that dominated Temple from start to finish. The defense forced six turnovers including one that resulted in Jaren scoring on a 21 yard fumble recovery.

After the game, he spoke about that play and the defensive effort from Oklahoma.

On his fumble recovery touchdown

“First things first, I have to give all the credit to my teammate, my brother Lewis Carter. All I had to do was make sure I didn't fall on my face picking the ball up, and didn't hit my head on the goal post or anything. All the credit goes to him.”

On the celebration and tackle by Danny Stutsman after his touchdown

“He was trying to tackle me and I accidentally kneed him in the face. He thinks he may have a more concussion right now which he kinda deserves, he’s kind of a pain in my ass sometimes. It’s great to see those guys getting excited for something like that and just great to contribute to the team in that way.”

On Danny returning to school for a final season

“He's a great teammate and a great leader. He knew he still had some work to do here and he knew he'd have a family that would support him and make him better as he made us better. So it means a lot to see him come back for the fourth go-around.”
