The best linebacker in the country is about to take the field and he’s in Norman, OK
Danny Stutsman is back and ready to be a problem for SEC offenses. But before OU gets into conference play, there are some big matchups against Houston, Tulane and tonight against the Temple Owls.
Danny talked to the media this week about his feelings entering his final season in Norman.
Excitement level heading into the season
“We’re really excited. Obviously, we had a long fall camp, it felt really. It was good to see some of those younger guys and what they can do on the field. I'm really impressed with a lot of guys out there. We’re excited, man. Friday night's game is gonna be like the old days.”
Has it hit you yet that this is your final season at Oklahoma?
“A little bit…it’s crazy how time flies..it’s kind of surreal how fast time goes. I remember freshman year and you tell all the young guys and they don’t believe you, I mean, I didn’t. It’s a little sad but I’m happy to be with the guys I came here with…and just excited for one last ride.”
On Jayden Jackson and the other freshmen on defense
“Those guys have come in…work really hard, get the system down, take the coaching points and just improve. You're going to have those rough days, there's going to be days where you struggle as a freshman…but I think those guys have been able to learn from their mistakes and just come out every day with a new attitude.”
