Micah Bernard Amped Up to Play in 'Hostile Environment'

Utah running back Micah Bernard previewed the team's colossal conference matchup against Oklahoma State

After a 3-0 start to the season, Utah will face Oklahoma State on Saturday in a pivotal Big 12 matchup between two favorites to win the conference. Utes running back Micah Bernard expressed his excitement about the opportunity in an interview with 247Sports.

"I have heard how hostile they are. And I love hostile environments," Bernard said. "I think it's just going to fuel our energy... We just got to be ready to match the intensity when we go up to Stillwater because we're going to need it."

Bernard is coming off his second 100-yard game of the season, and he said he wants to "keep stacking these good games together" in his pursuit of a 1,000-yard season.

Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon is seen as one of the best running backs in the country, but he has just 62 carries for 216 yards (3.5 YPC) this year. Bernard, meanwhile, has 41 carries for 274 yards (6.7 YPC).

If Bernard can outproduce Gordon on the ground on Saturday, it would go a long way toward the Utes securing a pivotal road win.
