Coach Prime's newest signature Nikes are a hot item

The popularity of Deion Sanders and being involved with Nike's re-release of his signature shoe is at a fever pitch. A fair amount of NFL players have hit up Coach Prime wanting a pair of Diamond Turf cleats for the upcoming season, according to NFL on FOX reporter Erin Andrews.

The veteran broadcaster leaked the details via a text message from Sanders during Sunday's Texans-Saints FOX network game. Andrews also confirmed Colorado would be wearing all-white uniforms for the big opener with TCU on Saturday, Sept. 2.

The relationship between the two goes back over two decades. Sanders was originally with Nike and James was signing on as an NBA rookie in 2003.

Colorado opens the 2023 football season with No. 17 TCU. A Big Noon Kickoff on FOX from Fort Worth that will feature the first-ever meeting between Sanders and Sonny Dykes. The Buffs come into the game as three-score underdogs, according to most Vegas projections.
