Colorado's Travis Hunter Receives Good Update For Heisman Race Saturday
Colorado Buffaloes two-way athlete Travis received a positive update for his hopes of winning the Heisman Trophy on Saturday.
The cornerback/wide receiver last played on Friday, where he had a monster performance in the Buffaloes' 52-0 thumping of Oklahoma State. The junior from Suwanee, Georgia recorded 10 receptions for 116 yards and three touchdowns in Colorado's ninth win of the season.
Hunter added one tackle, two passes defended and an interception to help his case to win college football's most coveted individual award.
During Colorado's game Friday, Hunter's odds jumped to -8000 to win the Heisman. Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty fell to +2500 odds even though he rushed for 226 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos' 34-18 win over Oregon State on Friday.
On Saturday, the odds for Hunter to win the Heisman Trophy further improved. Brett McMurphy with Action Network HQ posted Hunter's updated odds. The expected first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft has -10000 odds to win the award, per FanDuel.
Jeanty has 25-to-1 odds. Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel has the third-best odds at 400-to-1. Miami quarterback Cam Ward, who had been in third place on Friday, now has the fourth-best odds at 500-to-1.
Hunter's Colorado teammate, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, has 500-to-1 odds to win the Heisman Trophy.
