UCF Star Responds to Backlash After Travis Hunter Post

Knights receiver Kobe Hudson had a message for Travis Hunter after an embarrassing loss to Colorado

UCF wide receiver Kobe Hudson took some heat for a post he made celebrating Travis Hunter following a 48-21 loss to Colorado.

Hunter delivered a standout performance against the Knights, fueling the upset as a two-touchdown underdog. He racked up 89 receiving yards with a touchdown, and made a game-changing highlight-reel interception in the second half.

Hudson took to social media to give Hunter props after the matchup.

"He the best player in the world," Hudson wrote, reposting a photo of Hunter hitting the Heisman pose.

Hudson’s post sparked mixed reactions, with one fan calling it “loser energy.” Hudson, however, stood by his message, defending the post.

"No those are facts. Ain’t no hater," Hudson said. "We lost, next opponent. Give respect to him and his team. Trust me no one is more hurt about that loss than the people who suited up on that field!"

Hudson is UCF's leading receiver with 15 catches for 349 yards and a touchdown. He had just two catches for 39 yards against the Buffaloes.

Colorado improved to 4-1 with their most complete performance of the season in the win. After a well-deserved week off, the Buffaloes will face another tough challenge on October 12, when they host No. 20 Kansas State in Boulder.
