Quinn Ewers is Reportedly 100% Healthy Entering Red River Rivalry Game
Quinn Ewers is poised to make his return to the field for Texas this week after missing two games before the team's bye week. Redshirt freshman Arch Manning held down the fort while Ewers was out and performed admirably, but there's no question that this is Quinn's team when he's healthy, and it sounds like he's back to full health.
According to a report from Orangebloods analyst Anwar Richardson, Ewers has fully participated in practice this week and is 100% healthy entering the Red River Rivalry game on Saturday. One source said Ewers has been "ballin" in practice.
Ewers will be eager to avenge his loss to Oklahoma last season in a game where he completed 31-37 passes for 346 yards and a touchdown but also threw two interceptions. That was the last time Ewers threw multiple interceptions in a game, and he only has five picks in the nine games he's played since.
The last time we saw Ewers play a complete game for the Longhorns, he threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns in a pivotal road win over the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines. The junior quarterback will look for similar success this week in the first SEC edition of the Red River Rivalry game.
