Hezly Rivera commits to LSU gymnastics for 2026 season
Hezly Rivera has decided to come to the powerhouse LSU gymnastics program. Rivera announced her commitment on Instagram saying, “I am so blessed & excited to announce that I have verbally committed to Louisiana State University (LSU) on a full athletic scholarship. thank you Jesus for this wonderful blessing! thank you to my family, coaches, and teammates for helping me throughout this process. I also want to thank all the girls, coaches, and staff at LSU for everything. Geaux Tigers!”
Livvy Dunne responded on her Instagram with, “Let’s freaking Geaux!” Other LSU gymnasts including Sierra Ballard and Konnor McClain expressed their excitement in the comment section of Hezly’s post. Olympic teammate Suni Lee wrote on her Instagram Story, “So proud of this one.”
Even though Livvy will be gone by the time Hezly arrives at LSU, she seemed really happy with the decision . Both Hezly and Livvy are from New Jersey and trained at ENA Gymnastics in Paramus.
Rivera has had an amazing month. She was part of the Olympic gymnastics team in Paris that won the gold medal in the team all-around competition. At 16, she was the youngest member of Team USA.
