LSU’s Trey’Dez Green thinks his team can beat South Alabama on Saturday
Trey’Dez Green spoke to the media this week about playing in Tiger Stadium for the first time and what he’s learned from Mason Taylor.
What was it like to be in Tiger Stadium for the first time?
Trey’Dez: It was great. I walked in during warmups and looked around and it was packed. I had butterflies in my stomach but I locked in and told myself it’s time to go.
How has it been playing with Garrett Nussmeier?
Trey’Dez: It’s been great, he’s a great guy. He’s actually funny so I didn’t expect that from him.
What has the process been like for you to get to where you can play on the field and be a legitimate target?
Trey’Dez: Right now, I’m just trusting the coach’s process. I’m just getting better on my blocking, getting better with my technique. I mean, that’s all.
You’re obviously a young, talented guy. What are you learning from a guy like Mason Taylor?
Trey’Dez: Mason’s a great guy. He’s a great leader and role model. He teaches me things like getting here early, being a pro, doing everything the right way every time.
Can you tell us what the plan is for basketball? Because people have noticed that you’re on the roster there too.
Trey’Dez: Yeah, I’m playing basketball this year but my focus is just on football right now. Just getting better and beating South Alabama.
