Zach Randolph continued to play like a star following his appearance in the 2013 NBA All-Star game. He had a number of stellar performances this week, helping the Grizzlies continue their seven-game winning streak. He notched 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 105-91 victory over the Pistons in the team’s first game since the All-Star break. Randolph had an outstanding game the next day against the Raptors. The power forward racked up 17 points and 18 rebounds to help Memphis capture an 88-82 decision over Toronto. The Grizzlies snagged their sixth consecutive triumph on Friday, an 88-82 win over the Magic. Randolph scored 16 points and snatched 14 rebounds in the contest. He achieved his third consecutive double-double on Sunday, tallying 16 points and 14 rebounds in a 76-72 victory over the Nets.
Toronto small forward Alan Anderson’s shooting has been inconsistent since the All-Star break. He contributed five points while shooting one of nine from the field on Tuesday in a 96-88 victory over the Wizards. But the next day, in an 88-82 loss to Memphis, Anderson recorded 19 points, shooting six of seven. Anderson could not keep the momentum going in a 100-98 victory over the Knicks. He hit one of eight shots from the field and totaled only four points in the game.
With the emergence of Phoenix point guard Goren Dragic, Shannon Brown has seen decreased playing time. Brown did not play in any of the Suns’ four games this week.
Draymond Green had a mostly quiet week for the Warriors. He had two points and two rebounds in a 115-101 loss to the Jazz on Tuesday. The rookie failed to record a point or board in limited playing time during a 108-98 win over the Suns the next day. The small forward saw a little more playing time against the Spurs on Friday, contributing three points and eight rebounds in a 107-101 triumph. In 11 minutes of time in a narrow 100-99 triumph over the Timberwolves on Sunday, Green again failed to record a point, but had six rebounds on the day.
