Tigers look to make statement after today's loss.
Detroit, MichiganÂ
Tiger lose to the Indians, but take 3 out of 4!
O.K. I flew back early this morning to come back to beautiful Michigan to see the Tigers game. You know that I am a Tigerholic. Win or lose I am there I love them. Sadly I am more excited about the Tigers then the Pistons. Are you happy? I admitted it. They lost today, but it is not like other loses. They hit the ball hard, they jut got in a hole to a good team and they lost.
The great thing however is that they still have the best record in baseball and it was not the end of the world. The mood was disappointed in the clubhouse after the game, but it certainly wasn’t depressed and if anything it was upbeat as the Bronx Bombers come to town.
Baseball like any sport is baby steps. This team is coming in as the hunter and not the hunter. Over the last several season of ineptitude the Tigers have seen the Yankees come to town and they were the hunter. They wanted to prove something. Now the Yankees come in with a $200 million + payroll and the lowly Tigers have a better team on paper. Now this will be fun. David versus Goliath. Me versus a Krispy Kreme and it will be fun. I will be at the old Ballpark so hang on to your hat. The next ten games are 4 against the NYY at home. They then host Boston for 3 at home and go to Chicago against the World Champion Sox for three. If they can go 5-5 or better, this team will have made a statement.Â
They will, and this is going to be fun.
