Video & Analysis: Jim Harbaugh Talks Dominating Performance Over Notre Dame

Michigan hosted Notre Dame in what was supposed to be a toss up game and dominated the Irish in every facet from start to finish.

Notre Dame was actually favored by one point over the Wolverines in the final contest between the two storied programs until 2033 but Michigan didn't get the memo.

The Wolverines rolled the Irish 45-14 and really had their way with Notre Dame from the beginning of the game. Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was understandably happy during his post game press conference and provided a pretty complete synopsis about how the game played out.

Brown's Breakdown

I will admit, I was dead wrong about how I thought this game would play out. I figured it would be close and I actually picked Notre Dame to win. Instead, Michigan dominated the Irish for for quarters.

To this point, we hadn't seen Michigan put together a complete game but they did that against Notre Dame. The elements made it tough for quarterbacks and receivers to do much through the air, but senior quarterback Shea Patterson was efficient and led scoring drive after scoring drive with just enough passes sprinkled into the marches.

It's a bit of a bummer that U-M didn't click like this for the whole game last week in Happy Valley, but anyone with any interest in the Wolverines will take a 31-point beatdown over the Irish in any circumstance. Now, it's about stringing a few complete games together and continuing to improve, especially on offense.
