An Early Look At Tennessee's 2025 Targets

While the arrival of the 2025 class for the Tennessee Volunteers is a ways away, it is never too early to see where the class stacks up currently.

With the recent commitments from guys like Mike Matthews and Edwin Spillman, the Tennessee Volunteers hold the No. 10 overall class for 2024. There is time to climb even higher, with a few marquee guys still in the mix for the Vols, but as the class takes shape, we can look at the class coming after in 2025. While there is only one commit in the class, four-star corner Shamar Arnoux. However, it's still early, and the Volunteers are keeping their sights on a few top-end players entering their junior seasons of high school.

The main conversations about the class so far has been what Tennessee plans to do at the quarterback position. They've taken a signal caller in each full recruiting class under Josh Heupel, and two early names stand out: five-star Tennessee native George MacIntyre and four-star Mississippi standout Deuce Knight. The two other priorities sitting at the top of the board are in-state wide receiver Cameron Sparks and five-star offensive tackle David Sanders.

With the 2024 class, the Vols started to kick things up a notch towards late March and have been on a tear this summer when locking up recruits. If the Vols have another great campaign on the field in 2023, they can use that as a springboard in the offseason for members of the 2025 class. If quarterback Joe Milton III delivers the kind of year everyone expects after the success we saw from his predecessor Hendon Hooker, the Vols should have their pick of quarterbacks.
