Steve Sarkisian Left in Disbelief Following Interaction with Nick Saban

Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian is no stranger to being around legendary football coach Nick Saban. 'Sark' spent one season working with Saban's offense at Alabama in 2016 before another two-year stint with the Crimson Tide as offensive coordinator in 2019-20.

However, his interaction with his former head coach during Week 8's "College GameDay" trip to Austin, Texas left him in disbelief. He experienced the difference between Saban on the sideline and Saban on the set first-hand.

When asked about what he thinks about Saban's performance as a part of the college football media, Sarkisian admitted, "I've never seen him smile so much in my life."

"This is unbelievable," Sarkisian said. "I don't know what you guys do, but I've never seen him smile so much."

Saban revealed that Sarkisian isn't the only one of his former assistants who is noticing a different side of him. "These guys text me and say 'who is this guy,'" Saban said.

Co-host Rece Davis gave his reason why interactions with Saban might be a little easier for his former opponents following his retirement.

"[Sarkisian] doesn't have to deal with all your shifts and motions anymore," Davis said.
