Top Recruit in WV Chooses NC State Over WVU

West Virginia misses out on the top recruit in West Virginia.

Monday afternoon, class of 2024 offensive lineman Robby Martin (6'4", 285 lbs) of Huntington announced his commitment to NC State.

Martin chose NC State over Maryland, Penn State, and West Virginia. He also held offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Miami, Mississippi State, South Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and several others.

Martin had an extremely close relationship with former West Virginia defensive coordinator Tony Gibson and a few others on staff at North Carolina State.
