Highly Recruited 2021 Tight End Expressing Interest in WVU

WVU offer excites rising 2021 tight end Louis Hansen

One of the most overlooked positions in a spread offense is the tight end. For the West Virginia coaching staff, it is a primary area of focus for the future recruiting classes. The staff has offered numerous recruits at the position including 2021 tight end Louis Hansen from Needham, Massachusetts.

"I love the school and the program, so I was extremely pumped to hear from coach Gasper that they were offering me," Hansen said. "It's obviously a great school, and I know that the tight end is used very frequently in their offense which is something I love to see."

The Mountaineers offensive recruiting coordinator Scott Gasper was the one who extended the offer to Hansen, but will start talking more with tight ends coach Travis Trickett in the future. "I've spoken to coach Trickett a few times and he seems like a great guy, so I'm sure we will get a long great," Hansen stated.

Hansen also tells SI West Virginia that he will certainly make a visit to West Virginia, but a date is to be determined. "I play on Saturday's, so it'll be tough  to make it for a game but I may be able to make one in November. If not, I plan on heading down at some point after the season wraps up."

Hansen also holds offers from Boston College, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and many others. A decision date has not been determined.
