DFS/Fantasy Golf Picks: Sony Open in Hawaii for DraftKings

Let our fantasy experts help you pick a great golf lineup.

The Sony Open in Hawaii golf tournament is set for Jan. 11-14 at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii. That means it's time to pick your optimal DraftKings fantasy golf lineup. Fortunately, our fantasy golf experts are here to help.

Here's what our best Sony Open in Hawaii 2018 lineup looks like:

Brian Harman ($10,600)

There are higher-priced, higher-profile options on the board (Jordan Spieth, defending champ Justin Thomas). But Harman is on the cusp of superstardom, and we suggest you catch the wave in Hawaii before it crests stateside. He’s four-for-four in top 10s so far in 2017-18 and has posted top 20s at the Sony the last three times out.

Charles Howell III ($8,800)

Course horse CH3 is No. 3 all time in earnings at this event, with four top 10s in his last six Sony stops. Comes in warm, if not hot, with three top 20s in his last four events, including a T4 at Mayakoba.

Si Woo Kim ($8,500)

A tidy solo 10th at the Sentry Tournament of Champions gave Kim two top 10s in his last three starts, along with a solo third at Mayakoba in November. Of course, they were sandwiched around a missed cut at the RSM. Two out of three ain’t bad, and he’s playing well enough to make it three out of four.

J.J. Spaun ($7,600)

J.J.’s been dy-no-mite with his ball striking (12th in SG: tee to green and 10th in SG: approach the green). At a par-70 that values such things, you should strike while his irons are hot.

Jason Dufner ($7,300)

Duf’s been around for a lot of weekends over the last few months — no missed cuts since July. His T11 at the Sentry TOC included a ranking of fifth in SG: putting. He finished T9 at Waialae as recently as 2016.

Aaron Wise ($7,000)

This week’s IPO was the 2016 NCAA individual champion and just earned his Tour card in the fall. After a T13 at the RSM in November, his Rookie of the Year campaign could kick into gear this week.
