College Football Reporter Laura Rutledge Reacts to Matthew McConaughey's Dirty Joke on Saturday

Laura Rutledge and the rest of the "SEC Nation" crew were in Austin on Saturday for the college football showdown between Texas and Kentucky. The Longhorns defended their home field via an impressive 31-14 victory to improve to 10-1.

Before the game, Rutledge caught up with Texas fans, included one Hollywood A-lister. That would be Uvalde, Texas, native Matthew McConaughey, who came on the program to show his support for the Longhorns and to promote his tequila brand, Pantalones Tequila.

At one point in the pregame show, Rutledge asked the Oscar Award-winning actor to talk about his product. Little did the 36-year-old sportscaster know McConaughey was going to drop a dirty joke involving his wife.

"Tell me about this," Rutledge asked about the tequila. "What are we rolling with here?"

"Pantalones Organic Tequila -- the best thing my wife and I have made with our pants on," McConaughey responded.

Rutledge chuckled after hearing McConaughey's dirty joke, but she quickly recovered to respond to the actor's hilarious quip.

"That's great," she answered. "That's very true. You have beautiful children."

Kudos to Rutledge here for showing her professionalism and keeping the ball rolling, so to speak, amid what could have easily been an awkward on-air moment.

Rutledge and Co. ended up sampling McConaughey's Pantalones Tequila, which means "pants" in Spanish. The former beauty queen had nothing but praise for the product, which she said was "absolutely delicious" and "really smooth."

In fact, Rutledge even responded to a fan on X who was asking about how the tequila tasted.

"Really good," she said.

As McConaughey said, Pantalones is a brand he started with his wife, Camilla McConaughey. They have three children. The McConaugheys entered the highly lucrative tequila industry in the fall of 2023, and they have marketed the brand as something that "refused to take itself too seriously."
