Taylor Swift Makes Surprise First Public Appearance After Final Eras Show
Taylor Swift closed out her record-breaking Eras tour in front of a sold-out crowd in Vancouver, British Columbia on Dec. 8.
After 149 shows and stops in 21 countries across the globe, the Eras tour became the first tour in history to gross over $2 billion in ticket sales. "We have toured the entire world,” Swift told the crowd in attendance at her final show at BC Place.
“We have had so many adventures. It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing I've ever done in my entire life.”
The 14-time Grammy winner sent out a touching message on Instagram reflecting on her final performance, however, Swift hasn't been seen in public since she took her final bow.
While the "Karma" singer deserves some much-needed rest, Swift returned to Kansas City for a very important visit just one day before her 35th birthday.
Swift was expected to spend as much quality time as possible with her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, following the conclusion of the tour, however, her visit to Children's Mercy Hospital came as a surprise.
Eagle-eyed fans also noticed that she appeared to bring signed copies of her Eras tour book for give out and praised Swift for her appearance.
One fan commented, "What a wonderful gesture Taylor!" Another person wrote, "does she ever rest omg 😭😭." One woman commented, "I love watching her love our community, that Travis loves so much too."
A video of Swift during her hospital visit emerged on social media, during which she celebrated a young patient's last day of chemotherapy.
A Chiefs fan posted, "This girl. I’ve never opened up on here about what she did for my next door neighbor who unfortunately passed from brain cancer at a very young age… I’ve seen her great heart first hand, and just knowing how she makes those kiddos days. Beautiful to see! Love love love!"
While Swift is in Kansas City, and presumably staying with Kelce, it's unclear if she'll travel to Huntington Bank Field to watch the Chiefs take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 15.
Thus far this season, the singer has only attended Kelce's games at home at Arrowhead Stadium.
