Projections for the season ahead
As the 2019 fantasy football season nears, it's time to examine players who could make or break your fantasy team. Here's a look at Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and his fantasy outlook for the season ahead.
Newton had surgery on his right shoulder in January for the second time in less than two years. The joint clearly bothered him late last season. Newton posted his three worst passer ratings in his final three games and his only two outings without a touchdown in the final two. For the year, though, he notched a career-high completion rate and tied his second-best TD rate. DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel form an exciting young receiver tandem.

If Newton’s shoulder proves back to normal this summer, he should be one of the best values at this position — with upside to the top.
