Ignore the Week 16 fantasy defense/special teams rankings. DSTs don't really matter in fantasy football, right?
Tell that to one of my leaguemates who had the Lamar Jackson and Miles Sanders combo this week... and lost! Yes, James Conner and DK Metcalf were probably his best complementary pieces. But he started Cleveland's DST over Green Bay, which was a swing of 20 points. He lost by 15.
My leaguemate is old enough to remember, but both you and he should pay heed to the parting words of Sgt. Phil Esterhaus, "Let's be careful out there!"
If you're still reading this however, the odds are you have been just the right mix of careful and risky. It's Super Bowl week in most fantasy football leagues. So yes, every little detail will be reviewed, considered, examined, and reviewed again. I usually submit my rankings early in the week, but I promise to review and edit these rankings if necessary before the end of the week. Come back again later in the week to see if I made changes. But for now, here are my Week 16 DST rankings.
