My Week 17 fantasy defense/special teams (DST) rankings seem to be the circle of life. I don't have a lot of deviation from the ECR (Expert Consensus Rankings) and after weeks of not having them there, I now have the New England Patriots atop my rankings.
It's hard to ignore just how good Bill Belichick's boys have been. New England has allowed the third-fewest yards per game (315.5). The Patriots are tied for the fewest points per game (17.3). And they are second in the league in interceptions. That's pretty good.
And they are taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars who are still quite the stoppable force, especially without James Robinson in the lineup. It's actually kind of amazing that Trevor Lawrence has only been sacked 29 times this season. But then we recall the fact that he has thrown 14 interceptions compared to just nine touchdowns and maybe it's not so surprising.
Either way, I think the Patriots DST has a great showing this week.
