Like my tight end rankings for Week 3, there is not a lot of deviation from the consensus rankings when it comes to fantasy defense/special teams (DSTs). However, there is some noteworthy movement between this week and last.
Baltimore takes on Kansas City in Arrowhead this weekend. Baltimore has been a top-10 defense this season but due to the matchup falls to the ranks of a DST2 this week. Given the matchup this is hardly a surprise, but it is noteworthy. If you only own the Baltimore DST, you might want to see who's available in your free agency pool for this week.
Also noteworthy is that the 49ers are finally ranked as top-five unit this week. However, I think that's the industry overreacting to Mason Rudolph taking over for Ben Roethlisberger. I still like San Francisco this week, especially if James Conner is still hobbled, but don't assume the 49ers don't give up some points against the Steelers this week. I also think the industry is overreacting to Jalen Ramsey requesting a trade. The Jaguars are still a great defense and a top-10 play this week in my humble opinion.
