Defense/Special Teams Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 3

Sorry Jeffery Simmons, but we advise staying away from the Titans DST this week.

For my Week 3 fantasy football defense/special teams (DST) rankings, I'm skipping any discussion of the teams at the top. Instead, I'd like to focus my comments on those who "stream" defenses.

When streaming defenses, the top 20 options are often unavailable. And looking beyond those, the Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR) has the Tennessee Titans listed at No. 22.

Yes, I would put the Titans ahead of Indianapolis and Miami, who have extremely tough matchups against the Chiefs and Bills, respectively. But 22?!?!?!? I'm struggling to figure out why.

Perhaps it is because the Titans' opponent this week, the Raiders, have yet to score even 24 points? Maybe. But despite the Raiders' offense being a bit of a disappointment so far this year, I think we are about to see that ship turn around quickly.

Because the Titans are near the bottom in almost every defensive stat. They have just one fumble recovery and one interception. They've allowed a whopping 62 points already this year, third worst in the league. The Titans have also allowed the eighth-most yardage.

Leave the Titans on your waiver wire. See below for the rest of my Week 3 DST rankings.
