Bye weeks start this week, which means two stream-worthy fantasy defense/special teams (DSTs) in San Francisco and the New York Jets are not an option because they are on bye. Yet this week's DST rankings feel deeper to me than the first few weeks.
Unlike last week, Baltimore is one of my favorite DST plays. I like the industry consensus choice of the Chargers as well, but a little less than the Ravens. The Chargers travel to Miami. Yes, its the facsimile of an NFL offense that is MIami, but the Chargers have a knack for disappointing on the road. Not saying the Chargers will give up 35 points, but the Dolphins might score more this week than they have any other week this season. Of course, that's not a very high bar to clear, so I do still like the Chargers a lot this week as well.
One of the DST units that I am really low on is the Browns. I actually like them a lot more than my ranking of them would indicate. However, Lamar Jackson will keep the Browns' sack total low this week. I don't see the Ravens turning the ball over much either. I also think they can hang 30-plus points on the visiting Browns. I've probably got them too low, but I would definitely stay away from Cleveland this week.
Teams on bye: New York Jets, San Francisco
