My Week 5 fantasy defense/special teams (DST) rankings are pretty similar to most of the other experts out there. I like the Ravens and Titans just a touch more than others. I feel like both of those squads have been kind of quiet and there's a big game on the horizon for both. With Indy and Jax respectively, this could be the week. Both are in the bottom half of opponent return yards and I would not be surprised to see a special teams TD by either the Titans or Ravens. That's pure speculation, but either way, it's a positive matchup.
The more notable ranking however is where I have the Cleveland Browns. Some rankers have them just inside the top 12 for this week making them a DST1. I have them just inside the top 20 and that still feels too high to me.
First off, they will be on the road to take on the Chargers. LAC is tied for the 12th-most TDs in the league. They have two spectacular WRs in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, who should continue to impress as they are fed passes by the often impressive Justin Herbert. And we know what Austin Ekeler can do, coming off a two-touchdown game with nearly 150 yards from scrimmage on Monday night. Not a great matchup for the Brownies.
Furthermore, the Cleveland defense has really struggled. They are one of the more penalized teams, losing more than 65 yards per game because of flags.
