The Miami DST had a great Week 5 and should have a great Week 6 as well
One of the most surprising scores in Week 5 was the 43-17 victory by the Miami Dolphins over the San Francisco 49ers. While Jimmy Garoppolo struggled, it is certainly possible that it was also the result of the Miami Dolphins defense/special teams (DST) performing well. To fantasy owners' delight, the Dolphins now are not on bye in Week 6, and they get to play the New York Jets. The Jets are likely still starting Joe Flacco and they just released Le'Veon Bell. Chris Hogan is on injured reserve and the team is a mess. The Dolphins are only owned in three percent of leagues, but that should increase ahead of Week 6.
Five teams scored a defensive touchdown in Week 5 (and the Dolphins STILL had more fantasy points than four of those teams without scoring a touchdown themselves). The Baltimore Ravens were still the top-ranked DST and scored a defensive touchdown. The other four teams were ironically playing each other: the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys each scored a defensive touchdown and so did the Cleveland Browns and the Indianapolis Colts. The Browns, Giants and Cowboys are not recommended starts for Week 6, but the Colts are ranked No. 5.
Teams on bye: Las Vegas, Los Angeles Chargers, New Orleans, Seattle
