Four fantasy defense/special teams (DSTs) for Week 7 scored touchdowns, with two of those scoring two touchdowns (Denver on Thursday night and New England). DST touchdowns are hard to predict, and fantasy owners should consider themselves lucky if their starting DST gets one. Instead, fantasy owners look at the matchup. Those who had the Bears DST may have debated sitting them in Week 7 against the Patriots (it probably would have been a good idea). However, the Bears should certainly bounce back against the Jets in Week 8.
Similar to last week, the teams on bye aren't the top DSTs. However, some fantasy owners may not like their DST's matchup and others are just streaming from week to week. This week, the Washington Redskins are a great streaming option. They are owned in 17 percent of leagues and face the New York Giants in Week 8. In Week 7, depending on league scoring, the Redskins had the fifth-most fantasy points. In Week 7, the Falcons played the Giants and had four sacks. The Redskins are a much better defense than the Falcons, and thus are a nice streaming option for Week 8.
Teams on bye: Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles Chargers, Tennessee
