The fantasy owners that held on to the Chicago Bears defense/special teams (DST) after they played the Patriots will hopefully see the payoff in Week 9. The Bears play the Nathan Peterman-led Buffalo Bills. Peterman has four interceptions in the three games he's been on the field for. However, one of those games was Week 8, where he only attempted two passes after coming in for Derek Anderson. Anderson suffered a concussion on Monday night and is likely out for Week 8. Josh Allen is still out with the elbow injury, thus the Bills are left with Peterman, who has nine interceptions in his NFL career (seven games), two of which were returned for touchdowns.
Six teams are on bye this week, which might make it tough for fantasy owners. Most of the DSTs that are available don't have great matchups. One to look at for those that stream DSTs is the Dallas Cowboys. While the Cowboys aren't a great defense, they face the Tennessee Titans. Marcus Mariota has struggled and the team typically doesn't put up a lot of points. The Cowboys should be able to get some DST points in that matchup.
Teams on bye: Arizona, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, New York Giants, Philadelphia
