It's time to pick your optimal daily fantasy DraftKings golf lineup for this week's tournament (June 22-25), the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn. Our fantasy golf experts are ready to help.
Here's what our optimal Travelers Championship 2017 lineup looks like:
Brandt Snedeker ($9,400)
There are some big names chomping at the bit to get back out there after spitting the bit out at Erin Hills (Rory McIlroy and Jason Day, to name two), but we like Sneds this week. He was T4 in greens in regulation at the U.S. Open, and we all know he's a ticking time bomb (in a good way) with the flat stick.
Brendan Steele ($9,000)
Had a rock-solid (or Steele-solid, if you prefer) week at the Open (T13 while leading the field in putts per GIR) and is right at home at TPC Highlands — five for six in cuts made, with a T5 in 2014.
Kyle Stanley ($8,600)
He missed the cut here last year but has three top 10s in his last six starts. He's second on Tour in greens in regulation (72%), and if a couple more putts drop, Stanley could kiss the cup this week.
Bud Cauley ($7,400)
See above. Like Stanley, Cauley has three top 10s in his last six starts and is merely a balky putter away from contending for wins.
Charley Hoffman ($7,300)
He's made his last six cuts at TPC River Highlands and is coming off a top 10 at the U.S. Open. Finished T25 here a year ago and had a T2 in 2012 and T7 in 2013.
Danny Lee ($6,800)
TPC River Highlands has forgiving and score-able par 4s, which is where Lee makes his living. Not reliable over the long haul but has two top-6 finishes this year.
