Is Jay Ajayi a top-five fantasy RB after rushing for 1,272 yards in 2016?
It's safe to say that running backs are back in popular demand this year in fantasy football. The first two picks of most drafts are most likely to be running backs and if not for Ezekiel Elliott’s pending suspension, it probably would have been three RBs in a row. It’s possible, depending on the league, that as many as a dozen running backs could be taken in the first two rounds alone
But the uncertainty surrounding Elliott has opened up debate for who should be the next running back taken after David Johnson and Le’Veon Bell. And how far should Elliot fall, especially with the possibility that his suspension could be reduced? And how should you value the rookies?
Week 1 is quickly approaching, so hopefully these rankings will make your life easier as you prepare for draft day.
