Justin Tucker's big leg continues to appeal to fantasy owners
Unless your fantasy football league does not include them, you can't complete your lineup without a kicker. And while many fantasy owners simply detest the mere idea of having to draft one don't underestimate the role your kicker could end up playing when it comes to realizing your championship dreams.
Kicker is certainly the easiest position to fill on your roster but that doesn't mean it's a decision that should be taken lightly. Consider that for years Stephen Gostkowski has been one of the first kickers to come off of the board in fantasy drafts with the expectation that he would be at or near the top in fantasy scoring. That didn't happen last year, however, as Gostkowski finished 10th.
It's no surprise that guys like Greg Zuerlein, Harrison Butker or Will Lutz are popular picks given the offenses of their respective teams. Other favorites include Justin Tucker and Adam Vinatieri, the ageless wonder.
But what about a rookie? Will you be the one that takes a chance on Tampa Bay's Matt Gay or Cleveland's Austin Seibert? Both are in appealing situations given the offensive firepower on their team but not all rookie kickers work out. Then again, the Buccaneers appear willing to give it another try even though Roberto Aguayo, their second-round pick in 2016, failed miserably. Will you show the same confidence in Gay (or Seibert) for your fantasy team?
