It's the first week of the 2018 fantasy football season in the NFL and when it comes flex rankings there are already immediate concerns. First and foremost is Le'Veon Bell and his status. If you drafted him hopefully you also drafted or can add James Conner. Bell has missed time before in the past, and his backups always seem to dominate. Follow this closely, if Bell shows up and suits up, he is still a top-five option, but for now I am knocking him down the ranks a bit.
As it is, running backs dominate the Week 1 flex rankings with Antonio Brown leading the wide receivers at No. 7. Otherwise there are some players I ranked significantly higher than the industry such as Tyreek Hill and Jarvis Landry but these are both guys who should be in your starting lineup either way.
These are flex rankings, so you may have some questions about depth and not knowing exactly how some of these players will be factored into their respective team's game plan. Hopefully these rankings will help you sort things out, but this also is Week 1 so the approach should be to use the studs you drafted. As the season progresses, the combination of injuries, bye weeks and performance trends will be much more of factor which is when flex rankings will become even more valuable.
