Justin Jefferson is putting together a historic rookie season
I come not to bury a wide receiver in my Week 11 fantasy football flex rankings, but to praise one. Some folks took some umbrage with me trashing Jakobi Meyers. However, my "shading" of him was right on the money when Meyers hauled in just five catches for 59 yards.
But I'll be Positive Paulie tonight instead of Negative Nate and talk about a WR that I liked to start the season but I am really starting to enjoy — Justin Jefferson.
Jefferson is coming off another strong game, catching eight of 10 targets for 135 yards. That is now his fourth 100-yard game this season. Do you know what other rookie WR had four 100-yard games? Randy Moss. Perhaps there is some mystical Minnesota connection there. But let's cut to the bottom line. Many consider Moss to have had the best rookie season for a WR in the last 25 years. And he had those four 100-yard games that season. Jefferson has four already. Is it really unthinkable that he tops Moss with five?
And it might come as soon as this week. Jefferson is going against Dallas, whose secondary has improved a little bit over the last few weeks. However, they are still giving up the fifth-most fantasy points per game to WRs. Jefferson also is on pace to beat Moss's rookie season yardage total. I got a feeling he does. And Week 11 should be a big stepping stone towards that mark.
Teams on bye: Buffalo, Chicago, New York Giants, San Francisco
