From a flex perspective, Week 1 of the fantasy football season had some surprises with guys like Adrian Peterson, Isaiah Crowell, DeSean Jackson, and others having big weeks, which likely carried some owners to victory. The downside is that many guys who are usually solid didn't produce for their owners, but it's too early to panic when it comes to LeSean McCoy, Marvin Jones, Royce Freeman and others.
This week has tough matchups for some top players, such as David Johnson facing the Rams, or the Falcons' running backs drawing a Panthers defense that was fourth against the run in 2017.
Either way this is only Week 2 and players will either rebound, come back down to earth, or stay the course. The main thing is your starting lineup shouldn’t be changing unless there's an injury. There are usually those tough choices when it comes to filling a flex spot, so instead of flipping a coin, use these rankings to help you sort through your options.
As the season progresses, bye weeks, injuries and breakout seasons can really impact these rankings, which hopefully makes them more valuable as we move forward.
