Looking ahead to Week 3 for fantasy football, there are five game projected with game totals of more than 50 currently. That smells like fantasy goodness if you ask me.
It is still so early in the season that some owners shouldn’t have to worry about flex rankings, but we are seeing more injuries, especially to running backs early. Leonard Fournette, Devonta Freeman, Joe Mixon, LeSean McCoy, Jay Ajayi, and perhaps Dalvin Cook all will miss time, or are at least should be considered questionable heading in to the week. If you lost them you probably have already been scouring the waiver wire or digging into your bench to fill that void as best you can.
As it stands, Todd Gurley is the top dog for Week 3 with Alvin Kamara, Ezekiel Elliott and Melvin Gordon not far behind. Antonio Brown certainly seems amped up on Twitter, but will it translate to the field, or will JuJu Smith-Schuster continue to eat into the spotlight? Will Aaron Jones' return from suspension help boost the Packers' running game, which in turn would help a hobbled Aaron Rodgers?
As the season progresses, bye weeks, injuries and breakout seasons can really impact these rankings, which hopefully makes them more valuable as we move forward.
