My fantasy football Week 3 flex rankings pretty much reflect my deviation/movement that I highlighted in my other rankings for Week 3 including examples like Allen Robinson in my wide receiver rankings or my devaluing of Clyde Edwards-Helaire in my week running back rankings.
But I'd like to highlight one of the tight ends who I have higher than the ECR (Expert Consensus Rankings), Jonnu Smith. I would rather play Smith in my flex spot than say DeSean Jackson or Devin Singletary. I don't want to downplay Smith having three touchdowns already as we know he is not going to score 24 times this year. He probably won't even score a dozen TDs this year. But is 10 likely? Actually it is. After he was targeted five times in Weel 1, he saw nine targets this past Sunday. Some of that had to do with the injury to A.J. Brown. However, the Titans seem to be taking a little pressure off of Derrick Henry and allowing Ryan Tannehill to pass more. That means that Smith is likely to continue to give us a floor of half a dozen to a dozen fantasy points every week, which is more than we can say for others like Jackson or Singletary.
Another player I'd like to highlight that I have higher than the ECR at flex is Zach Pascal. I was shocked to see others had him ranked below other flex options like Benny Snell Jr. and Rob Gronkowski. With Parris Campbell now hitting the IR, Pascal should have the WR2 position for the Colts all to himself. With Jonathan Taylor now giving the Colts a running game to fear, expect Pascal to see plenty of play-action passes against the lowly Jets this Sunday.
