Flex Rankings: NFL Fantasy Week 4

Cordarrelle Patterson, Atlanta Falcons

Playing in either a RB or WR spot, Cordarrelle Patterson is in the flex mix for Week 4

Sometimes when picking a flex player, fantasy managers hit the jackpot and their guy wins the week for them. Other times... not so much. In Week 3, many looked to Quintez Cephus to continue his hot streak. Perhaps he was played as a flex option. He had plenty of targets heading into the week and there was no reason to think he couldn't put up some numbers. Enter Week 3: he had one target and he caught it for eight yards. In leagues with non-fractional scoring and no PPR points, he earned a goose egg.

Heading into Week 4, it may be best to leave Cephus on the bench. However, a player to look at as a possible flex option is Cordarrelle Patterson. Patterson may be available as both a wide receiver and a running back in your league, so be sure you don't need him to fill one of those slots first. If not, he has put up solid numbers as the "No. 1" back in Atlanta. In three games he's totaled seven carries. In the past two weeks, he's also had seven targets in each game. He's a gadget player that may be great (two touchdowns in Week 2) for fantasy or may struggle. But with the way the Falcons have been using him, he's  hopefully  not going to give you a Cephus goose egg.
